Again in 2008: Linda Ershow-Levenberg and Eugene Rosner named among NJ's Super Lawyers for Elder Law

Since the mid-1980’s, as seniors are living longer and end-of-life costs are increasing higher and higher, the field of Elder Law has expanded and evolved. As family members age, critical turning points arise. To preserve assets to the greatest extent permitted by law, and protect a quality of life, certain steps need be taken.

Our job is to make sure you and your loved ones will be protected when you or they can no longer take care of themselves.

There may be a need for Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives/"Living Wills", Trusts, or Guardianship when the elderly are unable to speak for themselves due to a medical crisis or if their quality of life or mental capacity is diminished.

You may need to apply for government benefits such as Medicaid or Social Security Disability. We will help you with the application process and represent you in your appeal if your benefits are denied.

Medicaid, Long Term Care, and Nursing Home Planning: Until it is needed, most people are unaware that Medicare and most private health insurance policies do not cover what is needed in the way of "custodial" care. Planning for the financing of assisted living or nursing home care is crucial in order to preserve your hard-earned assets.

Our Elder Care attorneys provide hands-on assistance throughout the planning process, as well as represent you if litigation is needed. We leave no stone unturned in getting you the protection you need. Contact us by email or call 732-382-6070.
